the player's height and reaction ability.
The most basic positions are as follows.
- Draw a imaginel line with 1/2 of the goal line and the goal area.
- Draw a imagine line connecting the center of the goal and
the penalty mark.
- Place the marker near the point where the two lines meet.
The cone is placed 50cm behind the center of the goal line and
used as a training point for the goalkeeper.
This point should be in line with the ball and the goalkeeper's between legs.
This is where the left and right widths are estimated to be the same through the mathematical formulas.
The coach should be seen this point between the goalkeeper's legs during shooting training.
Goalkeeper have to be trained to memory this position.
How will the goalkeeper prepared if the opponent striker
like a dribble or controls like 2 as shown below?
In this case, the goalkeeper moves the inside of the mark to the left or right according to the movement of the opponent and ball, preparing for the penetration pass or shooting of the opponent.
When the goalkeeper moves sideway to position, he have to move to the pull step below,
because this step is not shaken after moving.
side step (pull step)
Move a short distance to the left.
- Goalkeeper set position
- Move the left foot slightly to the left as shown in fig 1.
- Move both feet at a very low jumping position at the same time.
If you move while pulling your weight like this,
at the moment of set position,
the center is not shaken, so you can prepare for
the next situation immediately.
side step (pull step)
Move to the middle left
- Goalkeeper set position- Move the left foot slightly to the left as shown in fig 1.
- Move both feet at a very low jumping at the same time.
- Move the right foot slightly to the left as shown in fig 2.
- Put goalkeeper weight on his left foot and land.
- Move both feet at a very low jumping position at the same time.
If you move while pulling your weight like this,
at the moment of set position,
the center is not shaken, so you can prepare for
the next situation immediately.
In this way, the goalkeeper moves inside the goal area as follow to prepare for the opponent's pass connection and shooting.
If the striker shoot A, the goalkeeper is in position for A-1
and is prepared for shooting.
- There is a shooting distance and it is advantageous to handle it
in place rather than moving forward to reduce the range.
If the striker shoots from position B, the goalkeeper is in position for B-2 and is prepared for shooting.
- Goalkeeper have to advance forward to reduce the shooting range.
Positioning like this is the most basic and very important
for the goalkeeper.
Therefore, if the goalkeeper regularly improve his positioning training, he will be able to reduce the loose goal in the real game.
